Passed legislation prohibiting any city or county from imposing rent control on private and commercial properties

Passed legislation to change assessment formula of four or more apartments from 32% down to 18%.

Lead paint removal ­ The legislature did pass S.B. 577 that provides for loan programs for the purpose of lead paint removal.

HB 1500 & SB 1110 “Forced Access” by telecommunications companies     was defeated due to a concerted effort by our members and help from NAA.

HB 2118 Would have requiring retrofitting of fire sprinklers for high-rise buildings

HB 1621 Would have increased your filing fees for court cases by $8.50 each and   the money would have been used to support Legal Aid.

HB 991/SB 516 would limit the right of landlords to inspect rental property.

Retrofitting of fire sprinklers, SB 822 was not voted out of committee.

SJR 17 to provide for site valuation of land for property tax purposes on county option basis. Vacant land could be taxed as if developed.
